The main responsibilities for the post are to:
Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote independence in a safe environment.
Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Promote the inclusion of all students, so that all have equal opportunities to feel included and to contribute to school life.
Support class teachers to create a supportive and relaxed working environment that make students feel happy and secure.
Implement the positive behaviour approaches set out by the school, including Restorative Practice and Zones of Regulation.
A good understanding of behaviour as communication, attachment theory, SEMH needs in the classroom, and theory underlying nurture provision are ideal for any professional working in our school.

Previous school experience is not essential and applications are encouraged from those with transferrable skills from similar sectors such as early years or adult social care.
