Job Summary:
To assist the Operations Manager & Team Leader in providing operational assistance to ensure the smooth, safe, day to-day running of the Performance Centre
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring the safe provision of operations with a high level of customer care, including opening, closing and cleaning responsibilities
First point of contact for users; in person, over the phone and via email
Providing supervision and assistance to all users
Dealing with public complaints and problems at an initial stage
Liaising with the Team Leader in regards to operational and staff issues
Dealing with user groups, organising and taking an active role in the operational programme
Assisting in the preparation, organisation, delivery and supervision of sporting events and coaching at the Centre including refereeing and delivering a service to Birthday Party and event bookings
Promoting and maintaining a high standard of service delivery in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Performance Centre
Giving guidance and general support to staff
Opening and closing the premises
Supervision and Security of General Public
Directing the activities of users to prevent injury, or misuse and damage to the facilities and/or equipment
Supervising and implementing emergency procedures
Checking building security and fire safety provision including fire exits and fire fighting equipment
Maintaining an ongoing presence of spectator and ancillary areas
Cleaning Tasks
The role involves the cleaning of the centre, its surrounds and equipment ensuring that high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene are in accordance with those expected by our customers
Building Services, Structure & Equipment
Completion of the daily schedule is required and any issues reported to the Team Leader
Reporting faults, broken equipment and removing from service where necessary
Undertaking minor repairs and renovation work, under instruction
Health & Safety
Comply with Health and Safety legislation
Administer emergency First Aid
Ancillary Duties
Storing, securing and recording deliveries and the issuing of stocks
Providing operational cover for staff in other areas of the Centre, where competent
Attending training and staff meetings
To perform any other duties as reasonably required by the Centre management team
Undertaking work in other facilities as required
