Position Overview:




We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead Inside Sales to join our team. This role involves working closely with senior sales leadership to develop client selection strategies, manage account development plans, and lead a team of Inside Sales Managers (ISMs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with Senior/Executive Directors of Sales and the Vice President of Sales on client selection strategy, ISM assignments, and account development plans. Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to assigned ISMs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Recruit and develop a diverse team of talented sales professionals. Assign accounts and territories, and forecast individual territory sales goals. Achieve lead generation and sales targets. Partner with Marketing to develop and execute lead generation and awareness campaigns. Work with Field Sales Leaders to enhance client communication and streamline processes between Inside Sales and Field Sales. Stay current on Social Selling and Social Listening techniques, and collaborate with eMarketing/Marketing Demand Management to leverage the latest client engagement methods. Support the sales team in building strong internal and external relationships and identifying new market opportunities. Manage team performance, provide feedback, and develop action plans for improvement. Monitor and control team operating expenses. Lead networking events and team meetings. Act as an advisor to ISMs, resolving internal and external issues. Foster strong internal relationships and communication with operational colleagues. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) to manage team pipeline, forecast, and analyze key sales metrics. Develop coaching and action plans for ISMs as needed. Gather and share market intelligence and competitive information with the sales team, Sales Directors, and marketing. Assist with planning and executing the annual sales meeting. Provide sales reports and updates to Senior Management.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business preferred; advanced degree is a plus. Extensive industry knowledge and experience. Proven client retention skills. Ability to manage challenging client and financial situations. Experience in developing and executing strategic business plans. Ability to manage and motivate a team of inside sales professionals. Demonstrated leadership experience, including presenting to executives and senior client stakeholders. Extensive experience in global collaboration. Highly consultative with a strong customer orientation. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence sales decisions. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Experience:



Strong sales or relevant experience, specifically in selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with direct interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision makers.
