Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to oversee the care and support of children in a residential setting. This role involves leading a team of care staff, ensuring the implementation of care plans, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a drive to make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Duties

Supervise and support a team of care staff in delivering high-quality care to children. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the care home environment. Facilitate effective communication among team members, children, and external stakeholders. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt care strategies as necessary. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in child care and development. Maintain accurate records related to children's care and progress. Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages children's growth, development, and well-being.

Qualifications

Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a residential setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with children and their families. A proactive approach with the drive to improve services continuously. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes is advantageous. Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work are desirable but not essential.
