Team Leader - Departure Record Flowline


Role Purpose


We are looking for a Team Leader to manage the end-to-end flowline for aftermarket Departure Records (DR) used in commercial aviation gas turbine components. The role is responsible for achieving key performance targets in right first time (RFT) quality, and on-time delivery (OTD). You will lead a team, coach them in Lean principles, and work closely with engineers, specialists, and customers to improve processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and deliver outstanding customer value.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Delivery

Lead and manage the DR flowline, ensuring agreed KPIs (RFT, OTD) are consistently achieved. Drive daily performance using Lean principles, short-interval control, and visual management systems. Build and develop the maturity of the flowline to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.

Coaching & Team Development

Coach and support the team in Lean behaviours and structured problem-solving. Develop capability and ownership within the team to ensure sustainable performance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders globally. Partner with engineers and specialist functions to resolve issues and deliver against service-level commitments.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and lead improvement opportunities across the flowline and wider process. Use a Kanban-style system to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Share lessons learned and best practices across global teams.

Customer Value

Ensure customer requirements are fully understood, measured, and delivered. Eliminate waste and drive value-added initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace environment. Strong knowledge of Lean principles and practical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proven track record of delivering against KPIs and driving process improvement.
