About the role



We are looking for passionate and hardworking team leader to join our growing team, making sure our service users enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful life, participate within their community and develop their abilities.

As a Team Leader you will supervise and motivate a team of support workers, whilst also completing a hands on role to ensure the highest quality of care and support is offered to our service users.

Duties include

:

Work closely with Seren's Deputy Care Managers, support staff, Social Workers and Service Users family & friends. Arranging rotas and holiday cover. To lead staff meetings and attend client reviews. Arrange and complete Staff Supervisory and Appraisals Ensure the timesheets and travelling forms are correct before submitting to the office. To attend Managers Meetings when required. Supervise and manage overall performance within your department. Carrying out a wide range of care tasks such as, assisting service users with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding, and provide physical and mental stimulation by taking part in social and recreational activities. Offering our service users emotional as well as physical support. Helping to maintain accurate care records, and get involved in welcoming and training new staff. Promoting our service users' independence, choice, dignity and respect by spending time getting to know them and their families, will help you to deliver the high standards of person-centred care that is of paramount importance to Seren Ffestiniog Cyf. Administering medication to service users as required and complete all related paperwork and records. Carrying out competency observations with staff as and when required. Fostering and encouraging wherever appropriate, contact between service users and their families. Dealing with telephone enquiries and undertake administrative duties as required, (eg: log books, daily information sheets, accident book, incident forms etc.). Maintain case file records, including details of assessment plans, decisions, visits and the implementation and evaluation of action with regard to the care plan. Identifying problems and creating choices and provide alternative courses of actions.

Cheerful and compassionate by nature, possesses sound judgment, initiative and problem-solving abilities and is able to pay attention to the details. Demonstrates both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse individuals and staff. Will carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary.

Requirements for the role:



Care experience Health & Social Care NVQ (Level 3) or working towards Reading, writing and communicating clearly in Welsh and English is vital. Access to your own transport A can-do attitude, caring and reliable nature Excellent communication Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients and their families
To ensure our staff can provide the highest possible standards of care, we provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training and development. Relevant courses, such as moving and handling, infection control, fire training and food hygiene, ensure all our employees continually update their skills and knowledge.

Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check (cost met by the company), and candidates must be authorised to work in the UK.
