Your Role as Team Leader / Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner
As a
Team Leader
in our
children's residential home
, you will lead and support a dedicated team to provide outstanding care and support to young people. Your leadership will ensure our home runs smoothly, safely, and in line with
Ofsted standards
.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing shifts to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
Supporting and mentoring Residential Childcare Practitioners to develop their skills.
Delivering personalised care and support to meet each child's individual needs.
Contributing to care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
Coordinating therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities.
Maintaining accurate records and compliance with
Ofsted requirements
.
Promoting a positive, nurturing, and trauma-informed home environment.
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- essential.
Experience in
children's residential care
, ideally with leadership or shift-leading responsibilities.
A calm, confident, and compassionate leader with strong communication skills.
Excellent safeguarding knowledge and a trauma-informed approach.
Emotional resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Full UK driving licence
- essential.
Flexibility to work long-day and sleep-in shifts (2-3 shifts per week).
