At Liberi Care, we're seeking a passionate and resilient Team Leader to join our children's residential service in Tottenham. In this pivotal role, you'll combine direct care with leadership, shaping therapeutic practice and supporting a dedicated team. You'll help young people aged 10-17 with emotional and behavioural needs build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Your Role as Team Leader
As a Team Leader, you'll provide both
frontline care
and
on-shift leadership
, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. You'll lead by example, empower your colleagues, and help create the structure and consistency that young people need to thrive.
Focused Support for Young People:
Build strong, therapeutic relationships through consistent keywork.
Encourage daily routines, education, and positive engagement.
Promote well-being using trauma-informed approaches.
Monitor placement plans, risk assessments, and family contact.
Liaise with external professionals to ensure joined-up care.
Leadership and Team Guidance:
Lead 3-4 shifts per week, ensuring structure, consistency, and high standards.
Deliver handovers, delegate responsibilities, and supervise Support Workers and agency staff.
Mentor your team and foster a reflective, values-led culture.
Safeguarding and Behaviour Monitoring:
Respond effectively to incidents, disclosures, and risks.
Lead debriefs after challenging situations.
Monitor safeguarding concerns such as CSE, absconding, or bullying.
Maintain accurate, detailed records.
Compliance and Operational Duties:
Oversee medication, logbooks, shift paperwork, and hygiene standards.
Audit incidents, keywork sessions, and daily reports.
Manage household safety and petty cash.
Coordinate routines, appointments, activities, and special events.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare or a related setting.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
A confident, compassionate leadership style with resilience under pressure.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
