Key Responsibilities
As a Team leader Residential Support Worker at Aspire Children Services, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the best outcomes for the children and young people in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
Mentoring and Coaching:
Support and coach new team members, drawing upon your experience to manage any challenges that arise.

Emotional Support:
Provide emotional support and establish strong relationships, boundaries, and routines to create a warm and nurturing home environment.

Championing Needs:
Promote the needs of each child and young person, champion them, and support them to fulfil their potential.

Engagement:
Get involved in activities such as cooking, sports, outdoor adventures, music, or even getting a manicure to engage the children and open them up to new experiences.

Therapeutic Support:
Receive training to deliver our therapeutic model, ensuring the best possible care and support for our children.

Requirements
The successful candidates will have:
A good understanding of the Children's Home Regulations and Quality standards.
Some knowledge around the needs of children and young people with EBD/autism/CSE/CRE/county lines, and the support services required to ensure their needs are fully met.
Strong communication skills with an ability to lead on shift.
Good character and integrity with resilience that matches the demands of this challenging role.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children and Young People's Workforce.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Flexibility to work on a rota basis including sleep-ins.
At least 2 years experience in the Residential Children's Services sector or a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour.
At least 1 year of experience leading shifts in a children's residential setting.
