We require all applicants to have a full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification. (Minimum requirement).

We have an exciting vacancy become available for the position of Team Leader/ Nursery Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO).

We are looking for a candidate who either are currently in a leadership or management role or are looking for a new challenge and progress from their current role. Preferable SEND knowledge and experience, training will also be given when required.

The working hours are 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days per week. If choosing to work 4 days, will have a day off each week.

We are open 51 weeks per year and close over the Christmas period and all Bank holidays.

The main responsibilities include;

Managing and leading our staff team. Completing supervisions, promoting best practice. Overseeing SEND provision, managing referrals and working in close partnership with multi agency professionals, including SEND Teacher allocated by Coventry City Council. Working in partnership with parents / carers. Communicating with parents via online app as well as verbal feedback, ensuring effective information sharing and communication. Planning and preparing a variety of activities based on children's interests, providing high quality teaching and learning experiences. Completing assessments and overseeing staff documentation. Working together with leadership and management team to provide the best quality childcare and support smooth running of the nursery. Responsible of managing room provision and creating enabling environment. Mentoring staff team and supporting colleagues, supporting staff well being. Safeguarding all children. Managing resources budget - purchasing resources to enhance the room provision.
We expect candidates to have good safeguarding knowledge.

We provide inhouse and external training to support personal and professional development.
