AMZ Care Ltd is a newly established supported accommodation provider working with young people aged

16-25

, including care leavers, to develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

We are seeking an

experienced Team Leader

to lead and support a staff team delivering high-quality, person-centred support within a

semi-independent residential setting

, where young people share accommodation.

The Role



As a Team Leader, you will provide

day-to-day leadership

, ensure safeguarding and quality standards are met, and support young people to build the skills needed for independent living.

You will work closely with support staff, external professionals, and young people to maintain a

safe, structured, and supportive environment

.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management



Lead the staff team during shifts, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality support Supervise support staff both informally and through formal supervision Support staff induction, training, and ongoing development Ensure effective handovers and communication between shifts Assist with developing and reviewing policies and procedures Promote a positive, professional, and respectful culture

Safeguarding & Compliance



Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times Report and record incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of young people and staff Ensure medication is managed, administered, and recorded safely (where applicable) Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports in line with regulatory requirements

Care & Support Delivery



Act as

Lead Worker

for allocated young people Complete and review internal care and support plans Ensure health, education, and support plans are followed Ensure weekly 1:1 key working sessions are completed Participate in assessments and placement planning for new young people Prepare reports and attend statutory meetings (e.g. CLA reviews)

Multi-Agency Working



Work in partnership with social care, education, police, NHS, Home Office, solicitors, and other professionals Support young people to attend appointments including GP, education, training, and legal meetings

Supporting Independent Living Skills



Support young people with:

Budgeting and managing finances Cooking, shopping, and meal planning Developing routines, boundaries, and positive behaviour Registering with health services and education/training providers Preparing for independence (benefits, housing applications, employment/apprenticeships) Attending activities and community engagement Maintaining cleanliness of personal and shared spaces

Key RequirementsEssential



Experience working with

young people aged 16-25

in supported accommodation, residential, or community settings Previous experience as a

Team Leader or Senior Support Worker

NVQ Level 2 or 3

in Health & Social Care / Children & Young People (or equivalent) Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence managing concerns Ability to motivate, supervise, and support staff effectively Confident in challenging inappropriate behaviour in a calm, nurturing way Strong written skills (reports, logs, care plans) IT literate (Microsoft Word, email, basic systems) Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)

Desirable



Experience with care leavers Experience completing assessments and care planning Knowledge of Supported Accommodation standards

Working Hours



Flexible shift patterns Includes weekends and night shifts (mostly sleeping nights) Rotas are negotiable where possible
