We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Staff to join our care team, providing essential assistance within assisted living and nursing home environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, and medication administration, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. Duties
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and hygiene routines
Support the implementation and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with prescribed instructions
Provide specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to senior management promptly
Assist with organising recreational activities and social engagement programmes
Supervise junior staff and volunteers, offering guidance and support in their roles
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to regulatory standards
Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and dignity within the care environment
Qualifications
Prior experience in Supported living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques is essential
Experience in medication administration and developing or following care plans is preferred
Proven supervisory or management experience within a care setting is advantageous
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members
Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or nursing are beneficial but not mandatory
