We operate a thriving Trailer Cafe in the hospital grounds as well as opening a new permanent Cafe within the new Community Diagnostic Centre located onsite at the NNUH in Feb 2025!

To recreate food and menu items to an exacting standard continuously.

Compliance of HACCP, COSHH and training instructions as required.
To order and maintain stock levels and responsibility of stock control.
To prepare hot and cold foods for service as directed and/or agreed by the management.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen daily, its safe operation as well as the efficiency of the kitchen service.
To understand the companies GP%, production requirements, importance of product recipes and costing.
To build rapport with suppliers and maintain ordering levels required.
You must be able and willing to communicate with customers above the needs of the order and to engage in conversation.
Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the Cafe/Kitchen environment.
To develop a knowledge of products and to share this knowledge with our customers/staff
To be able to create menu items within the boundaries of the business, whilst ensuring to follow the templates that have been provided.
To be able to carry out the duties of the General Manager when required.
To create an environment of comfort and quality it would be recommended to our customers' associates.
Skills Required:
Experience of kitchen/food production essential.
Basic food hygiene certificate.
NVQ level 2 Food preparation and cooking desired.
Willingness to learn, improve and evolve the food production.
Must have initiative and determination to succeed.
Attention to detail with high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
Committed to improving the business and being flexible to achieve this.
Must participate as a member of the team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety, fire safety and health & safety measures and be sure to enforce the legislation to colleagues.
Be responsible for the safety of the kitchen environment that your, food storage, cross contamination and allergens are of paramount importance.
Have a keen interest in the catering industry where you can showcase / build upon your skills and knowledge.
