Technical & Design Coordinator



37.5 Hours per Week: Typically, Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-14:00 (30m lunch)

The Role



We are seeking a Design and Technical Coordinator to strengthen our existing team. The role involves supporting the Design and Technical departments utilising our internal management systems.

Assisting the Design Team in creating and implementing new designs and technologies and liaison with the production teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to first bulk production.

Assisting the Technical Team with all technical aspects of the business, such as, taking ownership of various quality reports, involvement of trials, quality control, collecting and reporting sustainability data and data for our ISO management system.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our key partners and customers. Some overseas travel may be required as part of the role along with liaison with our external pattern weavers.

Qualifications and Skills



Essential



Educated to degree or equivalent in Woven Textile Design. A passion for Textiles with excellent attention to detail. Good communication and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, outlook, word). Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Desirable



Previous experience in a woven technical environment, gained either via a placement, an internship or post-graduation. Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills using IT to report and analyse data. Previous knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 and TMS (Textile Manufacturing Software). Awareness of sustainability and its challenges and opportunities within our markets.

Salary:



Salary will be competitive; dependent upon previous experience
