Job Description


LSP Renewables have partnered with a leading IPP in the UK to recruit a Technical Manager to manage and optimise their Solar PV portfolio, provide technical input during potential acquisitions, and manage internal and external stakeholders. This position can be based anywhere in the UK (strong preference to London/commutable distance to London) with the ability to be in London every week/every other week.

Our client are an investment manager in the UK with assets in areas such as Real Estate, Social Infrastructure, and Renewable Energy, with over \xc2\xa34 billion of assets under management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, contract and commercial management of the portfolio\'s projects.
  • Review monthly reports and punch lists prepared by external Asset Managers, EPC and O&M contractors;
  • Identify opportunities for asset optimisation, including but not limited to life extension, repowering, flexible generation and overcoming grid constraints, and leading the development and management of Execution Plans to implement the same;
  • Technical support during acquisitions, including site visits, interviews, reviewing data rooms and advisor reports;
  • Works recommendations, key tasks & risk management;
  • Data analysis for project and investor reports;
  • Site reports on operating assets and projects in construction;
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders;
  • Identify & resolve constraints on project development or management;
  • HSEQ audits of Supply Chain;
  • Review and improve internal procedures and standards;
  • Run effective internal & external technical meetings;
  • Contract review, negotiation and completion;
  • Thought leadership and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Significant experience in the Solar PV industry, preferably managing operational assets, asset optimisation, or asset management/asset engineering
  • Strong commercial acumen - must have ability to interpret, negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors as well as manage the relationships with subcontractors
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability/flexibility to travel to sites in the UK
