We're now looking for a motivated Technical Assistant to join our growing team -- with a clear path to senior roles in quality and technical management.

The Role



You'll support our Technical Director in maintaining high food safety and quality standards, ensuring we stay compliant with the BRC Global Standard -- the UK's benchmark for food manufacturing. You'll also work across teams to assist with new product development, resolve non-conformances, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the Technical Director with daily technical and compliance tasks Maintain and develop BRC and customer standards Prepare and update quality documentation and records Support production and NPD teams during product trials and launches Participate in investigations and root cause analysis for non-conformances and complaints Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the dessert facility

Training & Development



Onsite coaching and development for company procedures Opportunity to gain formal qualifications in food safety and quality management Personal and professional development, leading to management roles with in the industry

The Ideal Candidate



We're looking for someone who has:

Formal qualifications in Food Technology, Food Safety, or a related discipline Training in HACCP and a strong understanding of food safety standards Experience in technical or quality assurance roles within food manufacturing An excellent level of English and Maths, essential for documentation, analysis, and communication A passion for maintaining high standards in food safety and quality Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving The ability to work both independently and collaboratively Good IT skills and attention to detail
