About the team and the role
The Product Technical & Compliance Coordinator will be working in the Product Technical and Compliance team and working closely with other stakeholders to ensure the compliance of products sold on the webshop across own brand and branded products. This role is essential in helping manage our due diligence as well as supporting other projects within the wider team.
Role may involve in 'On-Call' rota after successful probation sign off which would include being on call in the evening and weekend on a rotational basis of 8-10 weeks.
What you'll do
Supplier Approval & Management - working closely with the Commercial team to validate accreditation for branded suppliers and products
KPI reporting - collating and reporting KPIs on a periodic basis identifying trends and potential follow up based on data
Customer Complaints & Refunds - working closely with the Customer Hub and the Product Technical managers to investigate and close out escalated customer complaints along with managing the system that is used to track, trend and recharge refunds to suppliers
Own Brand Specifications - working closely with the Ocado Own Brand team to assist insuring accuracy and compliance of Own Brand product & packaging specifications
Non-Conforming Stock Management - issuing product recalls and/or withdrawals as directed by members of the Product Technical and Compliance department.
Cross department projects - be involved in Ocado initiatives and projects such as supporting charitable donations, sustainability, etc
On Call - Following training be part of the on call rota for out of hours incidences (every 8-10 weeks)
Who you are
Experience in using web-based systems
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
Focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail
Highly organised and self-motivated
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Adaptability within a fast growing company environment
Able to establish root cause and implement corrective actions where necessary

Preferred Experience (in addition to minimum)
Some compliance experience within the food industry
Manufacturing and retail experience
Professional certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS) is desirable
Experience of specification systems
