About Us:

Laila's Fine Foods is a family-owned manufacturer of high-quality chilled and frozen ready meals, supplying major retailers and foodservice customers across the UK. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a hands-on and experienced Technical Compliance Manager to join our team at our BRC AA+ site in Bispham and play a key role in upholding and advancing our food safety and quality standards.

The Role:

As Technical Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety, quality, and legal compliance across our chilled and frozen operations. You'll lead internal and external audits, manage documentation and traceability systems, and work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a strong compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop the site's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with BRCGS, customer, and regulatory standards. Lead preparations for external audits and act as the site contact for technical compliance enquiries. Oversee internal audits, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement activities. Ensure robust traceability, document control, and supplier assurance systems. Support investigations into customer complaints and drive effective root cause analysis. Provide technical coaching and support to teams across the site.

About You:

Previous experience in a technical or compliance role within a food manufacturing environment (chilled or frozen preferred). Strong knowledge of food safety standards including BRCGS, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP. Confident in managing audits and compliance systems. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive mindset. Ability to work flexibly across departments and shift patterns when required.
