Technical Compliance Manager

Graham's the Family Dairy is a Scottish food and drink brand, producing award-winning dairy products. Our range includes milk, butter, cream, ice cream, yogurt, Skyr and more.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you'll play a key role in ensuring the site complies with food safety, customer and regulatory requirements by maintaining robust compliance systems and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage, maintain and update the site's Quality Management system (QMS), including policies, procedures and records in line with BRC standard and retailer codes of practice.

Responsible for keeping up to date with legislative and industry developments related to dairy and food safety to ensure ongoing compliance and implement changes to site systems and policies, where appropriate.

Conduct regular gap analysis against BRC standard and retailer codes of practice; identify gaps and coordinate with relevant departments to action.

Lead close out of non-conformances through weekly meetings to oversee progress and create corrective action plans and NCR reports in a timely manner.

Monitor and verify corrective and preventative action plans to ensure effective and robust.

Manage internal audit schedule programme and team to ensure that audits are conducted in adherence to audit schedule.

Conduct and maintain site's technical risk assessments.

Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances, quality or safety related incidents.

Support in delivering training to all staff relating to food safety and quality standards, ensuring staff are aware of their roles in maintaining compliance to QMS procedures.

Support during customer and regulatory audits and visits.

Management of the site's TACCP / VACCP systems.

Ideally, you will hold a degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, and bring proven experience in a technical or quality role within the food or dairy industry.

A strong working knowledge of food safety legislation, retailer and GFSI standards is essential.
