Technical Compliance Manager

Job Description

Technical Compliance -

responsible for the development of the business Quality Management System to drive best practice. Creating policies and procedures for implementation which incorporate all aspects of Food safety legislation & retailer code of practice and guidelines.

Food Safety

- active as the HACCP team leader. Responsible for developing & maintaining the HACCP system to ensure robust food safety controls are in place across all products & all areas. Be the lead in determining or delivering food safety training e.g. CCPs

Legislation

- be the expert for Food safety legislation in terms of on site compliance & also on pack compliance

Supplier Engagement

- responsible for ensuring supplier compliance to company brand standards & supplier approval requirements

Specification Management

- oversee the control of raw material specifications & approvals to ensure compliance. Oversee the specification writing & management process

Process Management

- oversee the process activities & controls during launch of new products & also challenging of existing product process control

External Audit -

co-ordinator of any external audits / Technical visits & be the site lead in conjunction with the Quality & Environmental manager

Customer Relations

- To be the 'go-to' contact in Technical for existing customers & audit bodies

Managerial Responsibility

- Accountable for the building and developing of the compliance team within the Technical function. Ensures the right people are in the right roles to achieve business objectives. Sets and reviews KPI's, gives feedback and carries out performance management, coaching and development as required. Can lead by example and delegate effectively.

Financial Awareness

- be aware of budget & cost centre management. Ensure costs are controlled within the Technical budget allocation

Team Player

- Able to work and communicate effectively with all internal departments to ensure everyone works cohesively to achieve business objectives. Contributes on behalf of the technical department and ensures all information is available from and for every department.

Pay: 40,000.00 per year
