We are currently seeking a
Technical Coordination Engineer
Consultant - Nuclear
to join our dynamic team in a fast-expanding sector of our business.
You'll work within the
Configuration Management Team
, collaborating closely with the Design Coordination Team, Technical Director, and Deputy, contributing to key processes that ensure alignment, quality, and traceability across the entire engineering lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the NI Configuration Manager in delivering team objectives and managing daily activities.
Coordinate the preparation for Start of Commissioning activities, ensuring readiness and proper alignment.
Lead and coordinate the Design Change Process (UKDC), including delivering training sessions, facilitating Configuration Days, and preparing KPI analyses to monitor process performance.
Conduct internal audits, track compliance, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Investigate and resolve configuration-related incidents and non-conformances.
Coordinate or lead key technical topics, depending on project priorities.
Support arbitration and prioritisation of technical challenges across engineering disciplines.
Manage and facilitate Technical Convergence Meetings and other cross-functional discussions.
Lead or participate in workshops to align stakeholders on configuration-related topics.
Oversee the initiation and tracking of T2/T3 Design Changes (UKDC).
Facilitate Immediate Actions Meetings to address urgent project issues.
Produce documentation and deliverables, including process updates, internal guidance, and training materials.
Support UKDC database administration and configuration records when required.
Prepare briefings and materials for the Technical Direction Committee.
Profile
We're looking for someone who combines solid technical expertise with a collaborative mindset. Here's what we'd love you to bring:
A degree in engineering and hands-on experience in a nuclear engineering environment
Strong knowledge of EPR design and related engineering processes
Solid understanding of UK nuclear regulations, industry standards, and best practices
The ability to clearly synthesise and communicate complex technical topics
Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills
A proven track record of building strong, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership in highly regulated, technical environments
2-5 years' experience in engineering or project engineering, ideally with cross-functional coordination
Broad technical knowledge with a strong focus on safety and quality
Confidence in leading teams and mentoring colleagues when needed
