Job Description

This post offers training and experience towards becoming a Test Analyst. At Otodynamics our Test Analysts are a vital part of our Product Development Team, exhaustively testing new product software and proving it for certification prior to release for sale. The Test Analyst's role will combine with customer support activities, assisting customers with questions and troubleshooting product related issues.



Are you:



Recent graduation in computer science, or highly competent technical customer support experience - wanting to progress and take on a new challenge? A team player with a strong work ethic and good communication skills? Methodical and understand the need to work within formal testing protocols? A person who thrives in a fast-paced working environment? Someone with good, practical electrical/electronic knowledge, able to multiple task? Customer focused, with good communication skills - both written and verbal? Interested in medical product design and applications?

Do you have the ability and experience :



Carry out detailed product testing and inspections on a range of products, with a view to generating reports?
Apply a very good knowledge/use of script writing for testing - would be advantageous but not essentia

Use common electronics laboratory equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other common electronics lab equipment? Ensure accuracy when handling data and reporting? Help drive improvements to quality control by understanding the purpose of detailed instrumented measurements, the importance of maintaining records and can revise/improve in-house, work instructions? Provide technical support to customers, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues? Assist customers in a friendly/approachable way using various communication methods? Identify and gather customer feedback for continuous product improvement? Apply a very good knowledge/use of various Windows Operating Systems i.e. installation/removal of software/drivers and use of administrator level Windows Tools? Apply a very good knowledge/use of Microsoft Office applications? Apply a very good knowledge/use of Excel macros (OLE/VBA) - would be advantageous but not essential?

Main duties as trainee will be



Undertake testing and evaluation of new/modified products; inclusive of software, firmware hardware and reliability testing. Assist in the creation of test cases from specification documents and information provided by the Development Team, to be executed by yourself or others. Investigate emerging issues arising from reports in the field or from internal sources. Provide support for the transfer of new products into Configuration i.e. release to market. Promptly produce all specified technical documentation and test reports reporting all defects found following departmental procedures. Provide supporting activities to improvement of internal documentation to aid in testing to company specifications. Providing constructive input and feedback to help improve our test instructions. Reporting to the Product Lab Manager on all test performance and QA issues Address customer inquiries, resolving complaints by troubleshooting and solving hardware, software and connectivity issues reported by customers. Educating end-users in correct product use.
