JOB TITLE:

Technical Design Engineer

SITE LOCATION:

Stormking, Tamworth

REPORTS TO:

Design / Technical Manager

Job Purpose:

In this role you will be interpreting customer construction drawings to design and develop GRP products to meet customer needs within a GRP manufacturing environment.

Key Accountabilities:

Product design with GRP properties and manufacturing principles in mind Ensuring drawings and designs are produced on time and to a high quality. Maintain technical and production data and documentation. Support sales, customer relations and production in all technical related matters. Be familiar with construction principles and techniques. Liaising with stakeholders of different levels including customers, management and directors. Manage client liaison to achieve customer expectations and approval. Work in office with occasional visits to site

Key Experiences:

Experience in using computer aided design 3D modelling The ability to read building construction drawings Good level of PC skills Previous experience in a design role Good analytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail Self motivated and can work as part of a small team Good communication skills when handling external and internal customers

Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

Strong design and technical skills within GRP manufacture Experience in using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault Experience in GRP manufacturing Experience in construction methods
