Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design software and a keen eye for detail, enabling them to create precise technical drawings and schematics. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and feasible for production.

Responsibilities



Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and ArchiCAD. Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate concepts into buildable designs. Create 3D models and visualisations using tools like Sketchup, 3ds Max or any other software. Ensure that all designs meet industry standards and specifications. Conduct thorough reviews of designs to identify potential issues before production. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports. Stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies to enhance design processes. Provide graphic design support as needed for presentations and marketing materials.

Experience



Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Sketchup or ArchiCAD, is essential. Previous experience in a technical design role or similar position is preferred. Strong understanding of schematics and the ability to build functional prototypes from designs. Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A degree or equivalent qualification in Design, Architecture, Engineering or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
