Our talented designers work with their clients to create the vision, and our in-house building team turns the vision into reality, in an agreed time frame and for an agreed budget. Our bespoke kitchens are manufactured at our workshop in Shrewsbury.

Summary

We are seeking a

highly skilled Technical Designer

to join our design team at Kitchens by Holloways in London. Whilst working closely with our designers you will be responsible for taking client approved concept drawings & producing detailed production drawings for the workshop.

This role is responsible for creating precise technical drawings for kitchen joinery and construction that bridge the gap between concept and fabrication. The ideal candidate will ensure that every technical output meets the high standards required for direct use in our CNC-driven workshop.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed, accurate technical drawings for bespoke kitchen joinery using

SolidWorks

and

AutoCAD

. Develop comprehensive

construction and installation plans

based on approved designs. Prepare technical packages to a standard that can be used directly by the workshop and fed into CNC machinery. Translate architectural layouts and design concepts into fully resolved technical solutions, picking up on any potential issues, highlighting and coming up with potential resolutions. Work collaboratively with the design, production, and workshop teams to ensure drawings are both aesthetically and technically sound. Maintain internal drawing standards and ensure consistent documentation across all projects.

Requirements

Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks

and

AutoCAD

is essential. Minimum 2 years experience within the furniture/joinery industry is preferred Experience producing joinery and construction drawings, ideally within high-end kitchen or interior sectors. Knowledge of furniture and joinery construction methods preferred. Ability to keep and maintain good quality records and follow procedures Excellent teamwork and communication skills You will be the main liaison between the Design team and the Operations team and will need to be highly organised. Ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced design environment. Positive attitude to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
