As, 2nd/ 3rd Line Technical Engineer you will:



Advanced Technical Support -

Provide expert-level (2nd/3rd line) support for escalated IT issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution while maintaining high user satisfaction.

System Installation & Configuration -

Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and server operating systems, including optimisation, patching, antivirus, and group policy management.

Infrastructure & Application Support -

Support and maintain critical business applications, telephony (Avaya VoIP), and network infrastructure in collaboration with internal teams and third-party suppliers.

Project Support & Rollouts -

Assist with the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades across the organisation, ensuring minimal disruption and high performance.

Monitoring & Documentation -

Proactively monitor systems, maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, fault logs), and support preventative maintenance strategies.

Knowledge Transfer & Collaboration -

Share knowledge with 1st line support and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to enhance service delivery, including occasional out-of-hours and site-based support.


We're seeking someone with:



Strong Technical Expertise -

In-depth knowledge of Windows OS (Client & Server up to 2019), Exchange/Office 365 administration, and virtualisation technologies.

Telephony & Networking Skills -

Experience supporting VoIP platforms (e.g., Avaya) and solid understanding of LAN, WAN, and WiFi technologies.

Hardware & Configuration Proficiency -

Excellent practical skills in PC and peripheral setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting -

Demonstrates a proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex issues independently and efficiently.

Communication & Customer Service -

Strong verbal and written communication skills to keep users informed, provide training, and maintain stakeholder trust

Cloud Experience (Desirable) -

Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS is advantageous, supporting PDSA's evolving digital landscape.
