Job Description

Nicholsons is looking for a creative and experienced Technical Landscape Designer to join the expanding garden design team in our Oxfordshire office.



The successful candidate will have a good understanding of technical landscape design and construction, delivering high end requirements to clients. A professional service with excellent attention to detail, design style and commercial awareness is essential.



Key responsibilities:


To design gardens and landscapes for our clients, ensuring that the brief is understood, met and ultimately to build the garden where appropriate To treat each client as the most valued client, ensuring timescales are clear and managed, and that expectations are surpassed To present the design work in an informative, accurate, artistic, yet professional manner To work alongside the estimator, project managers, or external contractors To develop relationships with other industry professionals such as architects, QS's, interior designers etc., and help learn industry best practice To develop, nurture, and mentor less experienced members of the team to evolve them into stronger team members To be a leading member of the CAD/GIS support team and to help grow the quality of outputs across all divisions




Successful candidates will:


Have a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant or parallel industry experience Have experience using Vectorworks & Adobe Suite and other relevant packages (3D software such as SketchUp, Rhino etc.) Hold a full UK driver's licence
