Technical Lead / Solutions Architect - Remote with occasional travel to London - 3 days a week (can increase) \xc2\xa3500 - \xc2\xa3625 per day outside IR35

Our Public sector client is looking for a Technical Lead, with a background in Solutions Architecture. You will be managing the delivery of projects by suppliers, but you will oversee as the technical assurance, ensuring the timescales and deliverables are met.

The projects will be public sector projects looking at data sets, to help develop further analytical features. Another project will be to work to identify user patterns with communications.

Based in London as needed, we are looking to appoint an experienced professional to work in a technical lead role for an established team. Experience working in a customer-facing role is required, as the role will be both customer and supplier facing. Also required is the ability to technically lead bids and projects, communicate openly, think creatively, collaborate, and influence a range of stakeholders.

The Technical Lead role requires an individual who is able to operate at the big picture level rather than diving into the technical detail on a project. They will be the key technical point of contact on a project and will be charged with ensuring the technical work is delivered to the appropriate time, cost and quality. They will also be responsible for technical assurance on the projects considering key activities such as security, safety and data protection

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualified to at least University Honours Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Good track record of technical leadership.
  • Experienced and confident in operating in a big picture role
  • Self-motivated and delivery focussed.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic start-up environment with the ability to work within a rapidly evolving organisation.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to work flexibly to be part of a high-performing team.
  • Proven experience of working in a consultancy role focused on customer needs and requirements or equivalent engineering role with customer/stakeholder exposure and influence.
  • Experience across the full product development lifecycle from requirements to user testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communications skills. Able to brief complex matters to an appropriate level based on audience.
  • Desire to create a safer digital work.
Desirable Experiences of some or all of the following:
  • Experience in leading Agile or scaled Agile teams, or a member of this type of team.
  • Familiarity with a DevOps environment
  • Systems engineering experience particularly in design. implementation and integration activities
  • Experience of AWS and/or Azure.
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in aspects of data science and data engineering
  • Domain knowledge in any of the following: communications data, communications technologies, cyber, law enforcement, policing
The closing date for this role is 30th August. The role is remote, but you will be expected to come into London for meetings as and when required. This is outside IR35, working 3 days a week initially until the end of December, but likely to extend. The daily rate is \xc2\xa3500 - \xc2\xa3625 per day
