The Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated
Technical Manager
to lead the technical delivery of our projects from post-warrant design development through to site delivery. You will oversee our technical team and support project managers to ensure projects are well coordinated, efficiently run, and delivered to the highest standards.
You will be based in Glasgow with regular site visits (primarily within a working day), gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects in unique and often spectacular locations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the
technical team
, supporting project managers to ensure smooth delivery from post-warrant through to site completion.
Oversee the
detailed design and construction
phases, ensuring all technical aspects are resolved and coordinated.
Liaise with architects, engineers, sub-contractors, and suppliers to prepare robust construction packages.
Programme kit erections and ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
Carry out regular
site inspections
to monitor quality, progress, compliance and H&S/CDM requirements.
Act as a
key point of contact
for technical queries from clients, consultants, and contractors during construction.
Deliver regular
progress reports
to senior management.
Oversee
quality control
procedures and uphold our high standards of craftsmanship.
Drive the growth of our
affiliate contractor network
, building and maintaining strong relationships with trusted partners.
Support project teams with technical input during early design stages as required.
Review drawing packages at planning and building control stage.
What We're Looking ForExperience & Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry -- ideally including
timber frame or off-site construction
.
At least 2 years' experience in a technical management, construction management, or logistics role.
Experience managing and motivating teams, with proven coordination skills across consultants and contractors.
Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements (Building Control, Planning, NHBC, CDM etc.).
Architect, technologist, construction manager or similar construction professional background.
Personal Qualities
Proactive, detail-focused, and solution-oriented.
Strong communicator -- clear, collaborative and confident with clients and teams alike.
Organised, reliable, and excellent at managing competing priorities.
Passionate about high-quality design, sustainable building, and delivering outstanding homes.
Positive attitude and flexible approach -- someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Full UK driving licence essential.
