Perform hands-on assembly of electronics prototypes or pre-production units (e.g., soldering, crimping, cable routing, enclosure assembly).
Jig & Fixture Operation:
Learn to operate and maintain basic test jigs and fixtures used for production or QA.
Functional Testing:
Conduct defined functional tests on hardware (e.g., power-on, sensor validation, connectivity tests) and software (e.g., firmware flashing, basic application testing, feature verification).
QA Execution:
Follow and document results of established QA procedures and checklists for incoming components, assembled units, or outgoing products.
Defect Identification:
Accurately identify, document, and report hardware or software defects observed during assembly or testing.
Operational Tools Usage & Troubleshooting:
Troubleshooting & Monitoring:
Diagnose and troubleshoot common hardware and software issues using internal dashboards or monitoring systems.
Issue Escalation:
Accurately identify when an issue requires escalation to engineering teams (hardware or software) and provide detailed, reproducible steps and relevant logs.
Diagnostics:
Use internal diagnostic tools, logs, results from firmware programming and configuration tools, and procedures to investigate reported problems.
Cross-Functional Team Facilitation & Communication Hub:
Tracking and managing production:
Track inventory levels and raise requests internally for new stock build. Facilitate tracking and coordination of new batch production with external suppliers for on time delivery.
Feedback Loop:
Provide valuable feedback from operational processes, hardware build and programming, and QA findings back to product development for continuous improvement.
Documentation Contribution:
Assist in creating or updating internal knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals based on common issues and solutions.
Key Skills Required:
Solid Electronics Knowledge:
Understanding of fundamental electronics, circuits, and connectivity (USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
Operating System Familiarity:
Proficiency with Windows, and ideally basic Linux command-line for embedded systems or development environments.
Networking Fundamentals:
Basic understanding of IP addresses, ports, Wi-Fi configuration, and common network issues.
Troubleshooting Methodology:
A systematic approach to diagnosing problems, isolating variables, and testing hypotheses.
Comfort with Technical Tools:
Aptitude for learning and efficiently using various software tools for diagnostics, testing, and configuration.
Data Interpretation:
Ability to read and understand basic log files or diagnostic outputs.
This is a "Swiss Army Knife" role - incredibly versatile, with an opportunity to work with many diverse parts of the business. You should be able to seamlessly switch between technical support, hands-on assembly, and internal coordination, in a fast-paced startup environment.
If you are a
technical generalist
with a strong aptitude for learning, excellent communication skills, and a methodical approach to problem-solving, this role is for you.
