Technical Project Manager



As a Technical Project Manager at Chameleon Live, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional live events and supporting the growth of the company. This includes managing projects, ensuring top-quality technical production, fostering client relationships, and contributing to operational efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities



Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, leveraging company resources to ensure we continually meet and exceed client expectations Manage multiple projects simultaneously, efficiently shifting focus as needed Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, briefs & deadlines Attend site visits & client meetings as required to develop projects collaboratively Interpret project briefs and work with internal specialist staff to translate them into technical designs & equipment specifications covering lighting, audio, video, staging, rigging, power & scenic elements Cost and budget each project accurately and efficiently using our Rental Management software Proactively suggest ideas to enhance the project and highlight Chameleon's full capabilities Liaise with clients in a timely fashion as the project develops Keep specifications & budgets up to date as the project develops Create technical drawings to support project designs using AutoCAD Create project paperwork to communicate project requirements to internal & external staff Create Health & Safety paperwork to support project designs Manage logistics across multiple projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of internal & external resources Liaise with internal & external suppliers to ensure appropriate resourcing for each project Adopt a creative approach to problem solving and adapt and react to changing circumstances at speed Supervise selected projects on site, managing all aspects of delivery from load in to load out When appropriate supervise internal and external suppliers & staff on site to ensure the efficient delivery of projects Liaise with venues to build positive relationships and ensure projects are delivered within required parameters Liaise with clients on and off site to ensure their expectations are always met Finalise projects following completion, debriefing with clients, internal staff & external suppliers where required.

Competencies



Experienced in at least one AV discipline - audio, video, lighting, rigging Able to use Current RMS or similar inventory rental management system Able to quote/ price a technical job Proficiency in technical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) Client service focused and a team player A professional attitude and presentation at all times Good communicator Calm, approachable demeanour Confident, optimistic and enthusiastic personality Innovative problem solver Multi-tasking ability - this is a must Organised with a good attention to detail and follow up MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Good negotiating and influencing skills Must be proficient with figures and budget calculations Flexibility with working hours as additional hours in the office or on site may be required on occasion Current driving license

Experience



Been an AV tech on site so understand what this role involves Evidence of being able to work to a tight deadline and be organised Account management and client handling experience in an agency or similar Logistics experience in a technical company, hotel events or similar Experience in managing a range of events The right attitude and cultural fit is a must
