Job Title: Technical Sales Administrator

Job Level: Support

Reporting to: Technical Sales Manager

Hours of Work: 7-4 Monday to Thursday, 7 - 3 Friday

Job Purpose

The Technical Sales Administrator is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and coordinating technical sales activities to ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer enquiries and orders. The role plays a key part in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction by providing administrative, technical, and commercial support throughout the sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to order completion, while ensuring compliance with internal processes and alignment with the company's commercial objectives.

Position in the Organisation

Reports directly to the Technical Sales Manager and works closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and operations teams, to support effective sales processes and contribute to a structured, professional sales function.

Key Responsibilities

Process Sales Orders: Accurately receive and enter complex sales orders Technical Order Scrutiny: Critically review and validate incoming orders against technical drawings, schematics, or client specifications Liaise with Production: Generate and issue Works Orders to the manufacturing floor, ensuring all associated technical documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and quality checks are clearly linked to the production ticket based on sales demand and agreed-upon delivery dates. Scrutinise orders for accuracy, checking pricing, terms, product codes, quantities, and ensuring all required technical specifications and regulatory notes are correctly documented. Proactively monitor the production schedule and liaise with the Operations/Production Planning team to confirm or adjust delivery dates Collect and organise necessary data for the Sales and Estimating Teams, including current raw material costs, validated labor rates (including specialized labor factors), production history for non-standard runs, and supplier price lists for specialized components Assist in the administrative preparation of customer quotations, ensuring all cost components, technical assumptions, warranties, and associated compliance documentation references are accurately captured and professionally formatted for client presentation. Maintain a meticulous log of all quotes generated, tracking their status, expiry dates, and follow-up actions. Update and maintain standard technical pricing documentation, modular configurations, and service level agreements (SLAs) for the sales team's ready reference.
Requirements for this position:

Proven experience in a Sales Administration, Technical Support, or high-level Customer Service role, ideally within a technical manufacturing or complex B2B solutions environment. Systems Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ERP/CRM systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to Detail Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems

Pay: 27,000.00-29,000.00 per year
