Technical Specialist



BDC Aluminium are looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to oversee all technical & quality aspects of our aluminium windows and doors manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities



Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Oversee and implement new products & processes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Provide technical support to the sales and customer service team and customers, i.e. Installers Resolve technical issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner. Produce and keep updated technical manuals and technical bulletins. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team. Coordinate with other departments, such as manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to ensure project success. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including tracking system updates and technical procedures Best Practices: Implement best practices and standards for technical operations Compliance: Ensure all technical activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards Manage the Aftersales and Service function, establish COPQ & RCCM Achieve a high degree of first pass quality, implementing such measures that support the development of BDC Quality Assurance standard as defined in the Quality Management System (BSI). Establish and implement procedures and standards to ensure consistent product quality, supporting the business to establish a culture of quality. Manage and minimise material waste, identify defective parts, isolate from live production, and ensure the established defective reporting system is adhered to.

Experience in a technical / management role within the windows and doors industry. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your application will stand out from the crowd if you have:



In-depth knowledge of the fenestration industry. Experience with product certification and testing. Installation/manufacturing experience. Working knowledge of relevant software applications like CAD, CAM, and ERP systems.

Salary, Hours, and Benefits
