Technical Support play a vital role in providing our customers and internals teams with technical product knowledge and guidance. They are the experts when it comes to the important details about our aluminium building systems and proudly share knowledge with those that require it, so our products can showcase their return on investment and are fitted durably for generations to enjoy.
Responsibilities
Managing our tech desk reviewing and prioritising queries: sending out technical reports to customers, helping our customers navigate our technical website, answering queries and sharing information on our manual support, assigning complex queries to other team members.
Take a proactive approach to improving your knowledge of our products to manage more complex queries
Provide great customer service that communicates care, understanding and seeks to keep customers up to date with open queries with a drive to resolve them as soon as possible
Supporting other internal departments with manual / product data, answering queries on products and testing
Escalating queries to our Technical Support Export team in Poland when required
Schedule workload accordingly to account for support and other tasks
Report any complaints for factory or site elements and where necessary to investigate and generate clear and detailed reports.
Review and report technical or literature mistakes directly to the Product Development Manager.
Essential Experience / Skills
Prior experience in aluminium windows and doors
Confident in reading specifications, drawings and details
Self-motivated, proactive and organised approach to workload focused on meeting deadlines
Collaborative team member that builds trusts, communicates respect and utilises others diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
Proficient IT skills in Microsoft products ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Full, clean driving licence and passport
Desirable Experience / Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Prior experience in curtain walls (both stick and unitised)
Grounded knowledge of UK-specific building regulations, sustainability standards and market trends
Resilient, ability to bounce back and preserve in the face of challenges
