Technical Support Specialist

XMPie provides powerful, variable data publishing software that unites customer databases and creative content to help print service providers, marketing service firms, and small-to-medium sized businesses and enterprises, leverage customer data and create personalized, multiphase campaigns that use today\'s communication vehicles including print, web, e-mail, and mobile.

We are currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team supporting customers. Ideal candidates must possess a constant desire to learn, think analytically, and work in a team environment. A solid foundation of in technical support involving production print or web/email is an ideal background. Successful candidates will work with a team of subject matter experts and engineers to resolve customer issues and provide input to improve existing products.

Job Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Assist customers by troubleshooting software at a highly professional level

\xc2\xb7 Analyze and identify symptoms of a problem to provide an end-to-end solution

\xc2\xb7 Consult customers with data/web/design workflow and implementation

\xc2\xb7 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software and resources

\xc2\xb7 Provide guidance to fellow team members as a subject matter expert

Job Requirements

\xc2\xb7 BA in Computer Science, Management Information Services, or equivalent experience required

\xc2\xb7 At least four years of experience in a Technical Support field, troubleshooting software problems

\xc2\xb7 Variable Data Publishing (VDP). Subject matter expert with hands on experience with a VDP software solution. For example, XMPie

\xc2\xb7 Experience implementing, deploying and troubleshooting PURL and email campaigns

\xc2\xb7 Solid troubleshooting and research skills across multi-platform desktops and servers

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency installing and configuring software in Windows Server and MS SQL Server environment

\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (CC)

\xc2\xb7 Great customer service skills and a willingness to learn

\xc2\xb7 Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in English and German

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work both in a team environment and independently

\xc2\xb7 Discipline to be self-motivated and self-directed when necessary

\xc2\xb7 Travel required: approx. 10% to 25%

Desirable Qualities

\xc2\xb7 Experience with web client technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AngularJS

\xc2\xb7 Database creating and executing T-SQL

\xc2\xb7 Code development experience and education
