Location: North Lindsey College Construction Department
Are you a skilled tradesperson with a background in bricklaying, plastering, or painting?
Were looking for someone with hands-on experience in the construction industry to join our team as a Technician/Instructor in Trowel Occupations. This is a great opportunity to pass on your knowledge to the next generation of tradespeople while working in a supportive and professional environment.
xf0x9fx91xb7xe2x80x8dxe2x99x82xefxb8x8f What Youll Need:

  • A Level 1 or 2 qualification in a relevant trade (bricklaying, plastering, painting, etc.)
  • Recent, real-world experience working on-site or in the construction industry
  • Confidence working across brick, plaster, and paint environments
  • Ability to plan and prepare practical tasks and demonstrations
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Willingness to learn and pick up new skills
  • Physically able to move and handle tools, materials, and equipment
  • Flexible with working hours (some evenings/weekends may be required)
  • A full UK driving licence

  • Supporting tutors and supervising learners in workshops and practical sessions
  • Giving learners guidance before and during their course
  • Planning and delivering hands-on activities that meet industry standards
  • Keeping track of attendance and learner progress
  • Helping shape and improve the curriculum with your industry insight
  • Getting involved in open days and recruitment events
  • Maintaining and setting up tools, materials, and workshop spaces
  • Carrying out safety checks and making sure health & safety rules are followed
  • Demonstrating techniques and best practices to learners
  • Helping with ordering tools, materials, and supplies
