Full time - 3 month Fixed Term Contract - 37 Hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Technology Analyst, for a three month period, to support an IT rollout and deployment across central Scotland. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a good understanding of hardware and software support.
The Role
Working as part of a small team you will provide 1st & 2nd line support, implement upgrades and changes and ensure the effective and secure operation of Scotmid's IT environment in accordance with relevant policies and best practice.
You will also provide technical expertise and support and help in the design and implementation of new technologies to support IT led change projects.
This role will give the successful candidate exposure across a wide variety of technology stacks including PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Phones, Servers, Backup, Office365, networking and DR.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Windows device imaging, physical laptop deployment to remote locations and end user training etc.
Troubleshooting and managing to resolution IT service incidents providing 1st/2nd line hardware and software support to Head Office, Warehouse, Funeral and field colleagues.
Supporting IT infrastructure and components including Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Mobiles, Printers, Network, & IP telephony.
Monitoring system generated alerts, backups, servers and escalate where necessary.
Completing authorised requests for new users and changes to systems.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will be someone who has experience in Windows device imaging, deployment and general IT support tasks.
Key Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in a similar role, imaging PCs/Laptops and IT 2nd line helpdesk roles
Good understanding of Cyber Security practices around user password storage etc.
Problem solver - can work to find solutions at times without our team being available.
Professional and courteous when dealing with end users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Daily working hours will generally be 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, but some flexibility will be required from time to time to meet the needs and requirements of the role. This role will be based from our offices in Newbridge, Edinburgh and will require travel to our Food Retail and Funeral sites across central Scotland. A full clean driving license is therefore considered essential.
