We are recruiting for a Legal Technology Analyst to join our FutureLaw team.



We have numerous offices located around the UK and we are open to this role being based at one of the following offices: Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Manchester.




Your Role

Work with and assist the wider FutureLaw team to inquire, experiment, deliver, promote and champion transformation and the use of legal technology within the firm and with our clients; Assist the rest of the Legal Technology team with the management of the FutureLaw Legal Tech programme to include assisting with the introduction, design, implementation, support and embedding of new and existing legal technologies within FutureLaw, the wider firm and with clients and undertaking continual improvement and evaluation of the FutureLaw tech stack; Become a subject matter expert/super-user in the firm for the FutureLaw tech stack; Support the day-to-day operation and management of the FutureLaw tech stack; Assist in the identification and analysis of client requirements, needs and pain points for new legal products and services and improvement of legal processes by employing legal technology; Assist the rest of the Legal Technology team on client projects to scope, assess and identify needs, run workshops and map and design appropriate solutions for clients to include the integration and implementation of legal technology (with support from the Legal Project Management (LPM) team as required) and production of playbooks; Develop an understanding of key legal tech products and their capabilities, how they each meet client requirements and how they can be used, particularly for multi-point solutions or with other point solutions; Assist with the design, configuration, pricing and/or development of prototypes, running of proof of concepts and helping with the final builds of new FutureLaw legal technology, services and solutions (with support from the wider FutureLaw team as required); Undertake general administration tasks for the FutureLaw tech stack including user administration, generating reports on usage and trends, managing client data and project co-ordination; Assist in the maintenance of design, process, governance and training documentation for the FutureLaw tech stack; Assist with provision of advice and guidance to FutureLaw colleagues and others throughout the firm on appropriate technology to help improve processes, identify and capture data and to improve the client experience; Undertake stakeholder and client management and engagement with a view to developing and cultivating relationships with stakeholders and internal and external clients; Become the first line contact for users/fee earners in relation to day-to-day technology queries on the FutureLaw tech stack; Work collaboratively with other business services teams in the firm including Knowledge Management, IT and InfoSec; Assist partners and other colleagues in bids and proposals for and delivery of work where legal technology is required for successful legal service delivery; Help with the monitoring and evaluation of the legal technology market, to include: evaluating the benefits of different types of legal technology, the providers of that technology and assisting in the identification and development of ROI assessments based on a good understanding of commercial terms and requirements; Assist with the management of day-to-day relationships with legal tech vendors to include liaising with vendors on demos, design and implementation of trials, pilots, proofs of concept and final roll out; Support the education of internal and external clients on FutureLaw products and services and the value they deliver; Assist with training of users and provision of presentations and demos of FutureLaw legal technology products; Provide know-how on legal technology, the legal market and technology trends and solutions and undertake networking with clients, affiliates and members of the legal tech community; Promote the benefit of legal technology to the rest of the FutureLaw team and colleagues across the firm; Be an advocate for TLT FutureLaw inside and outside the firm.





Your Skills and Experience

A creative, experimental approach to problem solving with an ability to manage critical issues quickly and effectively; Be an early adopter and advocate of technology, developments and innovations; Keen interest in LegalTech and the digital technology market as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies; Experience of specific LegalTech solutions is not required but understanding or previous exposure to extranets, systems administration, data storage and transfer, data extraction tools, eDiscovery, Contract Lifecycle Management, AI supported legal tech, document automation or eSignature would be a distinct advantage; Passionate role model for technology and its application to the legal sector and legal issues; Good research and analysis skills; Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the business at all levels and across fee earning teams and business services, with the ability to be flexible in approach as required; Experience of working in a commercial, professional services or law firm environment would be well regarded; Keen team player with the ability to self-start and engage with a varied cross section of fee earners across the business; A client focused approach to the delivery of legal technology services Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment of uncertainty and constant change; Work with accuracy and strong attention to detail, even when under pressure; Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and complete simultaneous tasks and projects; Tenacious, proactive, driven individual with a strong work ethic who can be flexible as to the needs of the role and/or audience change and is skilled at working collaboratively and with a keen attention to detail; Acts with integrity with respect to ethical, legal and regulatory requirements ensuring the protection of personal data, safety and security; Champions diversity and inclusion in their work
