Technical Business Analyst
Glasgow

As a Barclays Technical Business Analyst, your role is to provide analysis focusing on Front office pricing and market risk. The role will support strategic transformation projects as well as business demand as determined by the portfolio management prioritization process. The role will be responsible for both business and data analysis required to support change delivery with a particular focus on ensuring change across different asset class in Rates, FX, Credit follow EOD standardization guidelines.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting in all relevant stages of the Project\xe2\x80\x99s lifecycle including analysis, design, test & deployment/go-live
• You will support with definition of comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process flow diagrams, testing plans and scenarios
• Providing input into business and technology procedures; to be executed against quarterly and monthly release cycles
• Leading UAT testing and follow-through to closure any post implementation issues
• You will define & regular communication of progress against individual task plans that roll-up into project plans
• Defining and interpreting requirements and roadmaps for delivery effective working relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors within global business units and delivery teams
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to deliver efficiencies, reduce timescales and improve flows between business areas
• Ensuring compliance to internal and external (regulatory) standards within the team

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Experience as a business analyst, data analyst, middle office analyst or trading support analyst
• Derivative product knowledge and previous experience, pricing, market risk management
• A good team player and excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 verbal & written and a strong advocate of the control environment and analytical thinking
• Advanced Excel, Data migration & Data/Gap Analysis, SQL/database querying expertise

Skills that will help you in the role:

• University degree, with high mathematical and computing content e.g. in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working in investment banking environment and directly with traders/trading or risk management systems
• Experience with visualisation tools such as QlickView/Tableau
• External certifications such as FRM / CFA will be an advantage
