The Role
SMH products Ltd have some ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years and are looking for an individual to join us on this exciting and ambitious journey. You will play a part in the team working to exceed your sales budgets and forecasting your portfolio of customers across several regions. You will proactively contact existing and potential customers to promote our range of products and services via telephone calls, maximising both Sales and Profits.
Looking after trading accounts with a view to targeting new customers and onboarding them within our business. We are looking for a self-motivated, tenacious, obsessed individual with a growth mindset to join our established and expanding sales team. The successful candidate will manage existing customers and grow the basket across all categories but will also generate new business via new accounts across new sectors, essentially a Farmer, and a Hunter.
Account Management
Make regular and scheduled outbound customer contact in line with customer contact strategy and grading.
Identify and act on sales opportunities within the customer base
Build relationships with customer base
Record and monitor activity within each account on a regular basis via CRM system
Give insight on future customer needs to the business, regions and local AM
Proactively work with the customer and SMH internal Stakeholders to ensure Account Payments are managed.
Product Promotion and Potential
Promote sales of key products and ranges as directed by campaigns
Identify areas of potential within the product base.
Gather competitor information
Reporting
Manage a diary of customer contact - customer contact strategy
Enter contact calls onto company CRM system
To manage a Prospects Database to forecast against target
Experience in sales is advantageous, but we are looking for an individual where the will, more than skill, is a requirement. Full training for the products and the sector, across all departments will be given. Irrelevant of the sector you have come from, we are looking for the person with transferable skills, such as interpersonal skills, communication and great customer service ethos coupled with the right attitude to grow with SMH Products Ltd in these very exciting times ahead.
A full induction, onboarding and Training programme will be put in place to enable you to confidently manage and sell into current and new customers.
