We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team at Fika. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft dishes ranging from breakfast to lunch
Applicants should be committed to maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional service to our guests. You will be required to work independently in the kitchen, so must work well under pressure and be able to multi task when required
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to deliver an efficient and enjoyable dining experience
Serve food to guests when required, ensuring proper presentation and etiquette
Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently during food preparation and service
Experience
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Experience with meal preparation, plating, and presentation techniques
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional cooking settings
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially in fast-paced environments

Contract length: 6 weeks
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
