Summary

You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meal preparation and food services to our residents. Located in a supportive environment, this position is essential for ensuring that our residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their individual needs, contributing significantly to their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents. Ensure all food safety standards are met during meal preparation and service. Collaborate with the care team to create meal plans that cater to the specific needs of residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients. Provide support during meal service, ensuring residents receive their meals promptly. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and food safety knowledge. Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.

Mandatory

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a care or similar setting. Strong understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

Previous kitchen or culinary experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with dietary restrictions, pureed consistencies in accordance with the IDDSI scales, and meal planning for older adults. Experience in serving meals in a formal or informal dining setting.
