Temporary Nursery Cook
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced cook to join our nursery team. The role involves preparing snacks and meals from a set menu for the children in the nursery. The role at present is temporary but could lead to a permanent position.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in preparing healthy, age appropriate meals for children in accordance with nutritional standards.
Have experience working around allergies.
Completing paperwork for the kitchen in line with Environmental Health Regulations.
Undertake simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to the management team to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
Undertake the cleaning of the kitchen and surrounding areas and of equipment to ensure the kitchen is maintained to a high level.
knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications
Must hold at least a Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering or willing to work towards.
Experience
1-2 years preferred
Job type: Temporary working 9.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday
Pay: 12.21 per hour
