Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant



Reporting to: Assistant Finance Director



Role Term: Temporary (6 to 12 months)



15-18 Hours per week (Flexible on start and end times)



13.11 to 14.13 Per Hour



Summary of the role:



Responsible for day-to-day entry of purchase transactions for three of the Group companies and maintaining consistency. Ensuring that invoices are processed and paid in compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

Key responsibilities:



Managing and covering purchase ledger Logging into various online accounts to download invoices Gaining approvals from various service managers Posting supplier invoices once approved Posting intercompany invoices and splitting relevant costs Posting journals such as payroll Counting and reconciling petty cash monthly Reconciling credit cards/bank statements monthly

Other responsibilities



Reconciling of supplier statements Accessing bank accounts and paying suppliers Setting up new supplier accounts where needed and keeping details up to date Checking aged creditors to ensure no invoices are missing Participate in regular supervisions with line managers Posting journals such as payroll Scanning, saving, and filing documents to maintain a paperless system Working as part of a team to maintain daily tasks such as post inbox, email inbox and posting bank transactions General office duties such as answering phone, filtering messages and general enquiries Assisting with various ad-hoc tasks Duties may be reviewed from time to time in accordance with the needs, services, and requirements of the company

This role is office based and you will be required to work 15 to 18 hours per week.
