Job Description

The role:
We are looking for a Tender Specialist to join our innovative team at Prysmian. They will be responsible for coordinating and preparing tender submissions for projects within the Renewable Energy Transport, Mining, OEM, and Oil and Gas market segments. This role requires a high attention to detail and personal drive to ensure bids are submitted on time, accurately, and complete. You will be preparing customer returnable schedules including sustainability, organisation, product compliance, quality, and pricing submissions to win strategic projects and periodic agreements for Prysmian. The role is accountable for professional, compelling submissions, and delivering strong market share of the project pipeline to Prysmian.
We are looking for a driven individual who possesses the following:

  • Ability to prepare and submit EOI for relevant work packages.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of formal bid/tender strategies for energy market segments.
  • Work within organisational guidelines and delegations of authority processes to submit tender documentation, and standard quotations - ensuring alignment with project requirements (including via customer portals)
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., technical, legal, business development, affiliate factories) and external stakeholders (e.g., EPC contractors, asset owners) to ensure comprehensive and compliant tender submissions.
  • Coordinates commercial and technical clarification processes.
  • Manage timelines and customer expectations in line with bid requirements resolving conflicts efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, internal functions, and affiliate factories.
  • Facilitate handover processes to contract management team for successful bids and work packages.
  • Maintain organised systems and processes for tender documentation and ensure timely collection, organisation, and filing of all relevant documents.
  • Price and margin management.
  • Coordinate from legal team and commercial manager the submission of acceptable terms and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Priority Setting: Can manage competing objectives and timelines, coupled with an ability to sense potential opportunities and roadblocks in achieving goals.
  • Pricing Acumen: High attention to detail with affinity for numbers, knows how businesses work, both internally and externally. Has developed both tactical and strategic skills to navigate towards successful customer and financial outcomes.
  • Administration skills: Strong drive to produce quality work in time sensitive situations and self-sufficient with Microsoft Tools including Word and PDF Editor.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Is a strong communicator (verbally and in writing) with the ability to influence and is good at conflict management in terms of seeing them as opportunities to achieve.
  • Resilience: Seldom gives up in the face of resistance and can influence without formal authority, can manage their own emotion in difficult situations.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in estimating or tender preparation within the renewable energy or industrial market sectors.
  • Proven experience within the Industrial or OEM projects sector.
  • Strong knowledge of tender management tools and pricing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Intermediate competencies in systems such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF editor.
