Job Description

SUMMARY



As an Early Years Practitioner you will be expected to work independently, and as part of a team with other practitioners and other nursery staff.

KEY POINTS



Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
Implement and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the childrens social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
Support childrens learning and development through play
Be a key person to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
Monitor childrens progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
Help prepare children for the transition into school life

KEY REQUIREMENTS



You

SHOULD

hold an

approved Level 3 qualification or above, equivalent -

NNEB or BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA Certificate in Childcare and have at least two years experience of working in an early years setting. You should have a good understanding of the EYFS and experience of working in a nursery with a flexible approach to working hours and days. To be enthusiastic, be creative and provide stimulating activities to support the children's learning and development. And provide a safe, caring supportive learning environment and ensure hygiene standards are met.
