We are seeking dedicated and passionate 'Qualified Nursery Practitioners' (Level 3 in Childcare) to join our fantastic team at 'Our Den at Hillside', in Lower Earley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage classroom activities, and lead by example will be essential in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality childcare in accordance with the nursery's policies and procedures.
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual needs.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily activities.
Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear expectations and promoting positive interactions among children.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a harmonious working environment that supports teamwork and shared goals.
Ensure the nursery is a safe, clean, and welcoming space for children, staff, and visitors.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and overall quality of care.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
A qualification in early childhood education or related field is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both children and staff members.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive approach to managing classroom dynamics while fostering an inclusive environment for all children.
A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to supporting children's growth through play-based learning experiences.

This position is term-time only (38 weeks a year) working 45 hours per week.
The nursery's opening hours are 8am to 5.30pm.
