We are seeking an experienced Weaver, or person willing to learn to weave, to join our skilled team. The working week is Monday to Thursday. The ideal candidate will have worked in a manufacturing environment, and have an understanding of textile production, although specific training on our own processes will be given. It would be an advantage to have experience and understanding of heavy machinery. As a Weaver, you will play an integral role in our production, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Duties
Operate up to 2 weaving looms to maximise production of cloth within predetermined quality specifications and times
Maintenance of the looms to prevent machine damage
Perform quality checks whilst weaving
Assist other team personnel with related weaving tasks as required.
Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
Assist in the training of novice weavers where appropriate
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role is advantageous, particularly within a manufacturing environment.
Some mechanical experience is beneficial, with willingness to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
Familiarity with yarn is beneficial but not essential.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to various tasks is essential.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
