Role Overview

As a Therapeutic Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' emotional, psychological, and behavioural development. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, your approach will be person-centred, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in empathy.

Key Responsibilities

Build trusting relationships with residents to promote emotional wellbeing and independence Assist with daily living activities while recognising and encouraging personal choice Support and implement care plans developed alongside healthcare professionals Deliver therapeutic interactions and structured activities tailored to individual needs Observe and document behavioural patterns and emotional changes Contribute to a safe, calm, and respectful home environment Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with the wider care team Attend regular training sessions and supervision to deepen therapeutic practice
Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a care or support role, ideally within mental health or specialist care NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards) Excellent communication skills and emotional resilience A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and empowerment Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
