About the Role
Highbury Home is a newly established residential home for young people aged 11-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are seeking skilled and compassionate
Therapeutic Support Workers (Waking Nights)
to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering
outstanding-level care
.
You will be responsible for supporting the emotional, physical, and psychological well-being of young people during the night. Working within a trauma-informed model of care, you will ensure safety, promote stability, and contribute meaningfully to each child's development.

We operate as a
therapeutic home
with regular input from a Clinical Psychologist. The setting includes a sensory room, structured therapeutic spaces, a landscaped garden, and recreational areas to support emotional regulation and well-being.
We use a
fully digital recording system
, ensuring less time is spent on administration and more on direct care and interaction.
Core Responsibilities
Provide overnight therapeutic care, supervision, and safeguarding in line with each young person's care plan
Maintain a calm, structured, and emotionally attuned environment
Support young people through trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques
Model positive behaviour, resilience, and empathy at all times
Maintain clear and accurate electronic records of observations and incidents
Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure consistency of care and communication across shifts
Candidate Profile
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)
- required
Experience in residential childcare or a similar role (preferred)
Confident, reliable, and emotionally resilient under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Legally authorised to work in the UK and fluent in English
